Commentary:
- This plug is technically known as the CEE 7/4
(German 16 A/250 V earthed). It is commonly known as a
"Schukostecker" or "Schukokontakt" plug, abbreviated as "Schuko."
The Type F plug, defined in CEE 7/4 and
commonly called a "Schuko plug", is like Type E except that it has two earth
clips on the sides of the plug instead of a female earth contact. The Schuko
connection system is symmetrical and allows live and neutral to be reversed.
Type F receptacles will also accept Type C and E plugs.
